Who this fits
PCA Club Racing is a Porsche-specific route from structured track experience into wheel-to-wheel club competition. It suits a driver who wants to build racecraft in a defined class.
The first decision is whether your experience supports the rookie application or the experienced-racer route. The next is whether your Porsche and its preparation fit the intended class. Settle both before you buy a car.
Cars and shared driving
PCA Club Racing has its own Porsche class rules. Present the car’s specification and modifications to the applicable class authority.
The 2026 rulebook permits two-driver cars, with the second driver placed in a higher run group and class. Check the event format and supplementary regulations for same-race driver changes.
For a program built around driver changes, compare Porsche Endurance Challenge. Sprint Trophy PCA is a distinct Porsche competition within PCA Club Racing weekends.
2026 license routes
PCA requires current PCA membership, a current PCA Club Racing license and a minimum age of 18. A rookie applicant can use at least 12 track days in the preceding 24 months, including at least six PCA or equivalent DE days, together with a Chief Driving Instructor ability certification.
The experienced-driver route requires a current full competition license and six races in the preceding 24 months. A time-trial license alone is not accepted for that transfer route.
How I help
I help you find whether the preparation gap is wheel-to-wheel judgment, consistency, traffic management or communication. I coach those skills at the track and in the simulator, and I review your data with you. Your Chief Driving Instructor provides the required certification.
Questions drivers ask
Does my time-trial license transfer?
The experienced-racer route requires a full competition license and the specified race history. Time-trial experience is useful preparation. It does not meet that transfer route.
Can I share a car with another driver?
The 2026 rulebook permits a two-driver car under its run-group and class provisions. Ask whether your event offers same-race driver changes.
