Choose IGT for its actual program
International GT fits an experienced driver seeking sprint competition and an enduro opportunity in a supported GT program. It is a separate championship within SVRA SpeedTour weekends, often alongside Trans Am.
Begin with the goal. Do you want your own sprint results, a shared enduro, or both? Your documented race experience, preferred car, team support and budget shape the lineup.
Cars and the 2027 tire change
IGT runs the Stuttgart Cup, Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy and Maranello Cup, with an Exhibition category for other GT3 and GT4 machinery. The program includes Porsche Cayman, Porsche GT3 Cup and Ferrari Challenge-based groups. A GT3 Cup car is not a GT4 car.
The 2026 rules require Pirelli tires. Racing America’s September 2026 announcement names Hankook as the exclusive IGT tire supplier beginning in 2027. Tire specifications and technical details are still forthcoming.

Enduro co-driving
The 2026 rules allow a solo driver or a co-driver in the typically 60-minute enduro. A co-driver must be declared by 5 p.m. the preceding day. The primary/qualifying driver must start and complete 30 minutes, including the mandatory five-minute pit stop, before a change.
Sprint championship points work differently. The driver of record must qualify and drive all sprints. An enduro co-drive does not share that driver’s sprint points.

Driver approval and team preparation
The 2026 requirements include a current recognized competition license, medical documentation, minimum age 16 and Competition Director approval. Submit your credentials and ask about the proposed car, race and lineup.
Evaluate the team’s car history, support, tire plan and data access. Fit both drivers and rehearse changes, egress, radios and pit timing. Agree on sprint versus enduro allocation, consumables, mechanical failure and damage obligations. One combined weekend price can hide very different driving roles.

Is IGT staying on Pirelli in 2027?
No. Hankook is the exclusive supplier from 2027.
Can a co-driver collect the primary driver’s sprint points?
No. The enduro co-drive is separate from the driver-of-record sprint requirements.
