Who this fits
Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America is a one-make series for a driver who wants the Lamborghini platform and its class structure. It is not a GT4 category and not a GTD entry in the WeatherTech championship. Shared driving is possible, and the 2026 class rules also allow solo drivers in specified classes.
Zenith Racing Series and International GT are good preparation for Am and LB Cup.
Cars and co-driving
The new Temerario Super Trofeo debuts in 2027. The published 2027 schedule has five named rounds and a sixth to be announced.
In a paired program, preparation covers a cockpit that works for both drivers, a shared setup, pit procedures and the effect of each stint on the combined result. A solo program is a different arrangement.
2026 class requirements
The 2026 rules require IMSA driver membership and FIA categorization. Pro permits Gold/Silver combinations or a solo Gold/Silver driver. Pro-Am requires a Gold/Silver driver with a Bronze. Am allows one or two Bronze drivers.
LB Cup permits one or two beginner Bronze drivers, age 27 or older, subject to Lamborghini and IMSA evaluation and approval.
Rules shown are the 2026 rules.
How I help
I raced a Lamborghini Super Trofeo car and won Trans Am XGT at Watkins Glen on August 25, 2024 with Kaizen Autosport.
I coach the driving résumé and the preparation work before a team and the organizers assess a program. I review your data with you. Where the class rules allow it, I can share the car with you.
Questions drivers ask
Does Zenith or IGT racing help for LB Cup?
Yes. That experience supports your application. LB Cup has its own beginner, Bronze, age and organizer-approval requirements.
Can two Bronze drivers race together?
Yes. The 2026 Am rules permit one or two Bronze drivers. LB Cup permits one or two qualifying beginner Bronze drivers under its additional restrictions.
How does Super Trofeo relate to GTD?
WeatherTech GTD is a separate GT3 class with its own cars, membership, ratings, lineup requirements and entry process.
