Driving notes
I raced the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in 2025. The car was the number 53 for Kingpin Racing. Two co-drivers shared it with me.
The Supra is a GT4 car, and GT4 cars race in the Grand Sport class of the Pilot Challenge. I won the four-hour race at Daytona in January 2025. I won the four-hour race at Mid-Ohio in June 2025. Both were Bronze Cup rounds. The Bronze Cup is open to Grand Sport lineups where every driver is Bronze rated. IMSA’s official Bronze driver standings carry both results.
Daytona and Mid-Ohio are the two Pilot Challenge races that allow a lineup of three drivers. The 2026 sporting regulations keep that rule. The other rounds allow two. The number 53 ran three of us at both of my wins. In a shared Supra, the driver change matters as much as the stint. Every driver has to be ready for the same car and the same stop.
I have also driven the earlier Toyota Supra GT4 Evo1. The Road Atlanta onboard on this page shows that car. The photos below show GR Supras at Daytona, Mid-Ohio, Sebring, Sonoma and the Corkscrew hillclimb at Laguna Seca.
